VelvetDealerLounge operates primarily on a reservation basis for both intimate dining and larger social gatherings. 2.1 Booking process

When submitting a reservation request, you must provide accurate information including your full name, preferred date and time, number of guests, and any relevant notes such as dietary requirements or accessibility needs. Submitting a reservation request does not guarantee confirmation; your booking is confirmed only once you receive written or electronic confirmation from our team.

2.2 Arrival times and seating

We kindly ask guests to arrive on time for their reservation. Where possible, we offer a short grace period; however, if you are running late, you should notify us as soon as possible using the contact details on our Contact Us page. In busy periods, late arrival may reduce your allocated seating time or require us to release your table to other guests.

Seating preferences (such as specific areas of the dining room or proximity to our poker lounge) are considered but cannot be guaranteed. Our team will always strive to accommodate your preferences while balancing overall guest experience and operational requirements.

2.3 Cancellations, changes, and no-shows

We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or amend your reservation, please provide as much notice as possible, ideally at least 24 hours before your scheduled arrival time. For larger groups or special experiences, longer notice periods or specific cancellation terms may apply, which will be communicated at the time of booking.

Repeated last-minute cancellations or no-shows may result in the requirement for a deposit or prepayment for future reservations. Any such conditions will be transparently shared with you prior to confirming your booking.

3. Offline Poker Evenings

VelvetDealerLounge hosts exclusive offline poker evenings and friendly tournaments designed purely for social entertainment. Our poker experiences are curated to complement our gourmet dining and premium hospitality, with a strong emphasis on camaraderie, storytelling, and memorable evenings shared with friends, colleagues, and fellow guests.

3.1 No real-money gambling

All poker evenings at VelvetDealerLounge are strictly non-gambling activities. No real-money wagering, betting, or gambling is permitted at any time in relation to our poker experiences. Any chips, points, or tokens used during events are purely for entertainment, friendly competition, or non-monetary recognition such as prizes or experiences that do not constitute gambling under applicable Australian law.

By participating in any poker-related activity at VelvetDealerLounge, you agree not to introduce, solicit, or facilitate real-money gambling of any kind, whether officially or privately. We reserve the right to remove participants who breach this condition and to decline future participation where necessary.

3.2 Eligibility and age restrictions

We may refuse participation or ask guests to leave an event if we have reasonable grounds to believe that age requirements or venue policies are not being complied with.

3.4 Bookings and cancellations for poker evenings

Specific booking conditions, minimum spends, or prepayment requirements may apply for special poker nights or themed events, and these will be clearly communicated at the time of booking.

4. Private Functions and Group Events

VelvetDealerLounge is available for private and semi-private hire for occasions such as corporate functions, networking evenings, birthdays, anniversaries, product launches, and curated poker-themed gatherings. We work closely with hosts to deliver tailored, high-touch experiences that reflect the signature style of our restaurant and lounge.

4.1 Enquiries and proposals

To enquire about hosting a private function or group event, please reach out via our Events or Contact Us pages. Based on your brief, we may provide a custom proposal outlining menu options, beverage packages, event styling, and suggested timings.

4.2 Booking confirmation, minimum spend, and guest numbers

Event bookings are considered tentative until confirmed in writing by VelvetDealerLounge and, where applicable, supported by a deposit or signed agreement. As part of the confirmation process, we may set a minimum spend or minimum guest number, particularly for exclusive venue hire or peak trading periods.

Final guest numbers are usually required within a specified timeframe before the event date so that we can allocate staffing, seating, and catering appropriately. Significant changes to guest numbers after this deadline may affect pricing or feasibility and will be discussed with you in advance wherever reasonable.

4.3 Payment schedules and adjustments

For private functions, a deposit or staged payment schedule may apply. These details will be clearly documented in your proposal or event agreement. Unless otherwise agreed, all outstanding balances are typically due on or before the date of your event.

Additional charges may apply where you request extra services, premium beverages, extended hours, or bespoke styling beyond the original scope. We will always seek your approval for material changes prior to proceeding.

4.4 Cancellations and rescheduling

Because private events require dedicated planning, staffing, and inventory, specific cancellation terms and timelines will apply and may differ from our standard dining reservation policy. These will be advised in writing as part of your event documentation.

Where possible, we will work with you to reschedule rather than cancel, subject to availability and any applicable fees or rebooking conditions.

5. Menu, Pricing, and Allergens

Our menus at VelvetDealerLounge are chef-driven and inspired by contemporary Australian produce, seasonal availability, and creative collaborations. The dishes, beverages, and experiences highlighted on our Menu and Experience pages are representative of our style but may change over time.

5.1 Seasonal changes and availability

We may update, refine, or adjust our food and beverage offerings without prior notice to reflect seasonal produce, supplier changes, and creative development. Menu items and featured pairings are subject to availability on the day of your visit.

5.2 Pricing and service charges

6. Intellectual Property

The VelvetDealerLounge website and all associated content are protected by intellectual property laws in Australia and internationally. This includes, but is not limited to, our brand name, logo, visual identity, website design, text content, menus, photography, illustrations, videos, editorial storytelling, and any downloadable resources.

Unless explicitly authorised in writing by VelvetDealerLounge, you must not reproduce, adapt, distribute, publish, display, or create derivative works from any part of our website or brand assets, whether for commercial or non-commercial purposes. This includes unauthorised reuse of our images or descriptions to promote other venues, services, or offerings.
